Who doesnt love the band.....

The marching band is one of the key elements in the broth of a HBCU ,so it is only right that the first HBCU have one the newly restored marching band in the nation. The program was re-established in 2005 with the assistance of a determined group of students. In the past three years we have been involved in a wonderful journey. The Director of Bands at Cheyney University, Professor Allen Gardner, developed a rich and rigorous environment for music majors and non-music majors to grow aesthetically through preparation, musical instruction, and performance. In addition to being a new member of the “Honda Battle of The Bands Tour this year has been an exciting season full of performances.

I LOVE the BAND!!!! GO SOULFUL SOUND!!!!! They are soooo dedicated to their craft and I just wish they received as much $upport a$ other band$ do at other HBCU'$. This will grow the band immensely as well give them an incentive when recruiting talent to the band. Why should a student come here for a couple of hundred dollars if even that, when they are offered in some cases FULL SCHOLARSHIPS at other HBCU's for their talent. WAKE CU ADMINISTRATION!!... You cant spin gold out of wool.
